about

Patrick Egersborg is a Norwegian baritone based in Oslo, known for his warm timbre and strong stage presence.

In 2023, he made his debut as Conte di Luna in Il trovatore with Operaen in Kristiansund, conducted by Torodd Wigum and directed by Mattias Palm, marking his shift towards the dramatic baritone repertoire. The same year he performed the role of Mr. Ford in The Merry Wives of Windsor at the Grimeborn Festival in London.

He has previously performed roles such as Silvio and Tonio (Pagliacci), and Marco (Gianni Schicchi) at the Copenhagen Opera Festival and Opera Søholm in Denmark, and has been a regular guest soloist with the Copenhagen Opera Festival.

Patrick trained at the Hochschule für Musik “Hanns Eisler” in Berlin and the National Academy of Opera in Oslo (KhiO), performing roles such as Don Alfonso, Eugen Onegin, Belcore, Albert and Figaro (Le nozze di Figaro) during his studies. After his studies he has worked with mentors such as Sherman Lowe and David Kempster, working on roles in the verismo and Verdi repertoire.

Starting out as a bass baritone, Patrick sang roles including Zuniga, Angelotti, Sciarrone and Marullo with companies such as RingsakerOperaen, Opera Østfold, and Grange Park Opera (UK).

In October 2023, Patrick sang the role of Saksbehandler in the world premiere of the opera Systemet, written and composed by Oda Fiskum and Gísli Grétarsson. The work was presented at the Operudagar Festival in Reykjavík, with performances at the Harpa Concert Hall, and at Opera Trøndelag in Norway.

In 2024, he premiered his first solo show, Is This It?, a personal and musical performance commissioned by the Herning Opera Festival in Denmark, to great reviews.

Beyond staged productions, Patrick has appeared in concert with the Norwegian National Opera & Ballet, the Oslo Opera Festival, and the Copenhagen Jazz Festival.
